Our Story

On the 15th February 1971 the monetary system changed, the UK decimalised. This meant one-hundred pence in the pound was born, subsequently leading to many coins becoming obsolete. My grandfather saw this as an investment opportunity and bought forty pounds worth of thrupenny-bits. When he died in 2016 I discovered that he had left these to me. Fast forward to the COVID-19 pandemic, I was stuck in lockdown with nothing to do. I started drilling holes in these coins, making pendants and bracelets. I fell in love with the process of making jewellery and this is where my journey began. I watched countless hours of Youtube videos teaching myself a number of new techniques. These allowed me to work with both silver and gold, as well as how to incorporate precious gemstones such as diamonds and sapphires. Learning how to make jewellery and starting this business was a complete accident, a happy accident. One I'm very grateful for because I'm infatuated by the world of jewellery, and this is just the beginning of my journey.
